Today Mother Nature made clear that water comes in many forms. The forecast for today was "Torrential Downpours" and Al Roker was totally right! Though we probably got into more water than we would have had at High Springs, it was disappointing to have to reschedule our paddle. Thankfully we got a chance to make a visit to the Sweetwater Wetlands. This restored prairie provides an ideal habitat for a biodiverse community, but that is a secondary purpose. The intent of the project was to create an ecological solution to wastewater treatment. The rest of the day we spent in the Museum of Natural History and the Harn Museum of Art. Though it was an unexpected substitution, we found many subjects intertwined with our other activities.
